THE PHARCYDE ON PETAWorld.com

Hailed as one of the most celebrated alternative hip-hop groups to come out of the L.A. underground circuit in the early 90s, The Pharcyde are still on the scene and are in the midst of a tour that will most likely be coming to a city near you pretty soon. Despite the loss of two of the four original founding members over the years, remaining members Imani Wilcox and Romye 'Booty Brown' Robinson are proving that they're in it for the long haul. Returning to their whimsical roots as lyrical pranksters, The Pharcyde are keeping things fun and keeping their loyal fans happy.

When we ran into Imani at the Holiday Havoc/Rock the Bells festival, he was very enthusiastic (to say the least) to tell us exactly what he thought about eating meat and what he had for lunch. A vegetarian for 10 years, Imani knows that not eating animals is one of the best things he can do for his health, the planet, and animals, too. Did you know that eating meat and dairy products is directly linked to cancer, heart disease, and strokes? Or that animal products are filled with hormones, antibiotics, cholesterol, saturated fat, pus, and feces—yeah, you read that right—pus and feces. Why are you putting that stuff in your body? Get the facts and go vegetarian, and you'll be as happy as Imani.
